Anat Cohen’s Notes From The Village To Be Released September 9
Notes From The Village, Anat Cohen’s latest album will be release on Tuesday, September 9th. Recorded this spring at Avatar studios in NYC, the album captures the thrilling energy of Anat’s live shows, and proves her to be an artistically adventurous writer and performer.
Cohen leads her quartet of some of the most sought-after, engaging young performers in New York, including pianist Jason Lindner, bassist Omer Avital, and drummer Daniel Freedman, with accompaniment from guitarist Gilad Hekselman on three tracks. Notes From The Village features original compositions written by Cohen as well as her interpretations of songs by Fats Waller, John Coltrane, Sam Cook and Ernesto Lecuona.
