This explosive trio (with Mark Guiliana on drums and Panagiotis Andreou on bass) seamlessly melds Funk, Rock and Jazz into a simmering cosmic groove driven by the poetry and rhythms of New York. Joe Martin’s Not By Chance CD release shows

Joe Martin will celebrate the release of his new recording “Not by Chance” on Wednesday October 7th and Thursday October 8th, at the Jazz Standard. Joe will be joined by Mark Turner on saxophones, Brad Mehldau on piano and Marcus Gilmore on drums. Time Out says, “Catch him here and you’ll be able to say you knew him when.” The Jazz Standard is located at 116 E. 27th Street (b/w Park and Lex). Sets begin at 7:30 and 9:30.
