Originally formed in 1995 at Greenwich Village’s Smalls Jazz club, the Jason Lindner Big Band was armed with many of the young creative stars on the New York scene at the time, and brought joy, energy, excitement, soulfulness, and beauty to its many performances. The group also held residency at TJG starting in 2001 and subsequently recorded a 2-CD album "Live at The Jazz Gallery" in 2005 (as part of the club's 10 year Anniversary celebrations!). The album was released in 2007 to much acclaim, and "generates the kind of euphoria that’s usually reserved for something earth-shattering. It’s just that good." (Michael J. West, Downbeat).
